Explore Wallowa Lake after dark in our lighted kayaks. Paddle under the starry or moonlit sky & peek into the unseen world below. Seek out fish, giant boulders, and treasures on a rainbow of colorful pebbles.

Price is per Kayak, and each Kayak seats up to 2 guests with a total max load of 425 lbs.

Each Kayak will include two paddles, two life jackets, two seats, two seat pads. Select our Date Night Package add-on to make it a special night out with hand-crafted boutique nuts and chocolates from local businesses!

Important

Meeting Location: North end of Wallowa Lake county boat ramp. Meet at JO Paddle delivery van and trailer for check-in.
WEIGHT RESTRICTION: Max capacity per kayak is 420 lbs. For tandem paddlers, each rider must be under 220 lbs per seat. Solo paddlers must be under 250 lbs.
Our Clear Kayaks are for touring Wallowa Lake, we do not beach the clear kayaks and we have guest clip the kayak to a floating buoy if they come in early from their scheduled pick up. For safety we do not allow switching kayaks out, please reserve enough kayaks for your group. Each kayak fits two guest and possibly a small child (total weight capacity is 425 lbs).
Children must weigh at least 30 lbs to participate.
Guests must be at least age 16 to have a solo kayak.
Come prepared to possibly get wet.
Small and medium size dogs are permitted on board – Must have your own doggie life vest and paw bootie (+$20 Cleaning Fee)
Absolutely NO Fishing off the Clear Kayaks, thank you for understanding.
We do not allow boots or shoes that leave marks in our kayaks, water shoes are permitted and preferred.
Absolutely no alcohol or smoking of any kind allowed on our Glacier Clear Rentals or Tours.
Life vest (PFD) will be provided and required to be worn the entire time on the water.
We provide phone cases, dry bags, and water if desired.
Safety is our top priority – we’re always doing safety checks and checking weather forecasts 3 days in advance.

We went on a night kayak tour and it was lovely! We could see fish swimming below the illuminated clear bottom boat, but the most beautiful part was the stars! Jo, the guide, had some really fun facts about the surrounding area and the lake! I really liked the added knowledge he shared!

JO Paddle nightime tour was simply wonderful. We had a full (though orange) moon, lots of great stories about the area, some good paddling, and found JO Paddle safety standards to be exceptional. I really enjoyed Melvin, too, but you will have to go on a paddle to meet him yourself!

Great experience! Beautiful night on the lake. We weren’t able to tour the normal route due to wind, but we honestly wouldn’t have known there was a problem if they had not said anything. The light up boats were fun and loved watching the full moon rise on the water. A must do when visiting the lake!

We had a totally enjoyable night paddle on Wallowa Lake. The clear boats allowed us to see the lakebed in shallow water and the fish swimming underneath us. Matthew shared geology facts, stories and history about the lake and county. At the conclusion of the paddle, we stargazed with our boat lights off. Great evening on the water!

We were out on the water as the sun went down and the stars came out. I saw 2 shooting stars. Our guide gave us information about the geology, history, native Americans, the story of Wally, the lake monster, and even info on where to see the local spots where Homeward Bound was filmed. Such a cool experience. Worth every penny.
