Experience The Glacier Clear Adventure

Matthew is absolutely the best in here. We booked our trip last minute, but he still managed to be flexible and gave us a kayak with all the gear included. Very nice guy. Very helpful. Highly recommend this experience with him! Me and my husband had a great time!

I’ve been living in the Pacific Northwest since February and every single weekend I’ve been out somewhere, on a mountain, hiking a trail, fishing, camping. I’ve made the most of my time here but this trip to Wallowa Lake stands out. It’s my fourth time coming out this way and without a doubt this was the best experience I’ve had since I got here. The guides made the difference. They were easy to talk to, patient, informative without being stiff, and they made the whole thing feel personal. You could tell they cared about what they were doing and wanted us to enjoy it. From start to finish, everything was smooth, relaxed, and well run. I’d give it a 10 out of 10. If you get the chance to do this, take it. My only regret is that I didn’t find out about it sooner and that I don’t have enough time to go again before I leave.

I had a LOVELY experience with JO Paddle! Not only are they well organized and communicate well...But super helpful. I have some physical limitations getting in to things like a kayak off the dock. They rocked at helping. The history of the area was super interesting during my time on the lake. And the owner really wants his business to be a family business. All the way around I loved my experience!

The 3 of us (adults) opted for the night kayak ride with the glass bottomed boats. What a hoot! The equipment was detailed and in beautiful shape. The guides were well informed and engaging. But most impressive was the attitude of caring and safety that the family team demonstrated, well beyond the minimum required. Very informative and caring couple who runs JO Paddle. They are thorough in what to do if you are new to paddle boarding, and had extra amenities like sunscreen, water and bug spray at no additional cost if you needed it. They also had a lot of good, not-so-well known information on things to do in the area. It was extremely helpful and appreciated.

We had a great time on the Nighttime Adventure Tour! Our guide was local and knew the lake well. We loved the stability of the kayaks and the see-through feature. We got to see the bottom of the lake several times and our guide led us to areas to see 2-3lb trout swimming under our kayaks! By the end it was very dark, which was amazing for seeing the stars! We highly recommend this company and tour! Thank you JO Paddle for a memorable experience!

JO Paddle is definitely the best adventure to add to your Wallowa Lake experience. We went on the night tour and had the most amazing time, Matthew is a fabulous guide with lots of great suggestions, information, and knowledge to share all about the lake, what to do in town, and history of the lake. I highly recommend JO Paddle and cant wait to go again!
